One Traceability Chain, from Lab to Field
A meter test is only as trustworthy as the standard behind it. RADIAN builds the equipment at every link of that chain, so the accuracy established in the lab carries through the shop and into the field.
RADIAN maintains direct traceability to NIST for watthours, volts and time, and to PTB, NRC and NPL for three-phase and harmonic energy. More than 300 million revenue meters produced in the past 30 years are referenced to a RADIAN standard.
- National labs to RADIAN. Our ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory in Lafayette, Indiana holds that traceability in a bank of three RD-22 Primary Transfer Standards (ยฑ0.005%).
- RADIAN to your lab. Reference standards such as the RX-30 | RX-31 | RX-33 and the RS-933 automated calibration system carry that accuracy into your calibration lab. See lab solutions.
- Your lab to the meter shop. Test boards such as the WECO 4050X | 4150X | 4330X and WECO 8000 test new and returned meters before they go into service. See meter shop solutions.
- The shop to the field. Portable equipment such as the RW-30X and Bantam Plus verifies meters, CTs and PTs at the customer’s site. See field solutions.
- Every result on record. WATT-Net stores each test with the meter’s history, ready for regulators and audits.
