RADIAN Calibration Services

RADIAN’s Service Lab provides NIST-traceable calibration services for RADIAN manufactured equipment, backed by full-service repair and maintenance capabilities to help protect your long-term investment.

Calibrations are performed across the entire operating range of the measurement standard, with custom test options available so you can choose exactly which points you want calibrated.

Temperature testing is performed on all upgrades and repairs to verify accuracy across temperature ranges, and extended warranty plus multi-year recertification packages are available. ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration, with stated measurement uncertainties, is available as an option. Typical calibration turnaround is 3 to 5 days, with expedited service available for a fee. An RMA is required for equipment sent to RADIAN; on-site calibration does not need one.

Accredited, Traceable Calibration

RADIAN’s calibration laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and maintains compliance with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 and ISO 9001:2015. Every calibration is traceable to the SI through NIST, so your results hold up with regulators and auditors. When your program requires stated measurement uncertainties, add ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration as an option.

How to Send Equipment In

  1. Request an RMA. Every calibration and repair sent to RADIAN needs one; on-site calibration does not. Request an RMA online.
  2. Ship the equipment to RADIAN with the RMA number.
  3. We calibrate it across its full operating range, plus any custom points you ask for. Repairs and upgrades include temperature testing.
  4. It comes back with its calibration report, ready for your records.

Need it back sooner? Typical calibration turnaround is 3 to 5 days. Ask for expedited service when you request your RMA; a fee applies.

Which equipment does RADIAN calibrate?

RADIAN-manufactured equipment, including the RADIAN RD-22, the RX-10, RX-11 and RX-15, the RX-20, RX-21 and RX-23, the RX-30, RX-31 and RX-33 and the RS-933. For other manufacturers' AC energy reference standards, see Non-RADIAN Calibration Services.

Set the interval by your quality program and your regulator's requirements. The RADIAN RD-22 accuracy specification is stated for 365 days, a common basis for yearly recalibration. You can set a reminder on our Support page, and Care Plans include multi-year recalibration.

Typical calibration turnaround is 3 to 5 days. If you need your standard back sooner, expedited service is available for a fee; ask for it when you request your RMA. Use the RADIAN Customer Portal. You can request copies of calibration reports, invoices, and manuals, and set up a reminder for each unit's next recalibration date. On the date you choose, you'll get a reminder email from RADIAN. Learn how to set up your Customer Portal account.
