Which Model Is Right for You?

The Bantam Plus comes in two accuracy classes. Both share the same automated socket, built-in source, Winboard software, and WATT-Net compatibility. Choose the RB-21 when you test the highest accuracy class meters.

Which meter forms can the Bantam Plus test?

Socket meter forms 1S, 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S, 6S, 8S (electronic), 9S, 10S, 12S, 13S, 14S, 15S, 16S, 25S, 26S, 29S, 35S, 36S, 45S, 46S, 56S, 66S, and 96S. Test sequences are saved by meter form, so the same test runs the same way every time.

What is the difference between the RB-20 and the RB-21?

Accuracy class. The RB-20 has a built-in RADIAN reference standard with 0.04% accuracy, and the RB-21 has 0.02% accuracy for testing the highest accuracy class meters. Everything else, including the socket, source, and software, is the same.

Can I use the Bantam Plus in the field?

Yes. It runs from a standard wall outlet in the shop or from service voltage in the field using the included field power cable. The optional RB-MSA meter socket safety adapter gives safe access to service voltage, and the RB-MTA meter test adapter lets you test a meter outside the built-in socket (up to 20 A).

How do I verify the Bantam Plus accuracy?

Winboard includes a standards compare routine. Using the RB-SCA adapter, you compare the Bantam Plus to an external RADIAN portable reference standard such as the RADIAN RX-15. For traceable calibration of the complete system, use RADIAN Calibration Services.
