The Powermetrix 8833 is a true three-phase training simulator for most common CT rated meters that helps technicians build troubleshooting skills in a safe, controlled environment for meter testing and wiring verification. It includes the ability to simulate 130+ commonly found metering errors, and—when paired with the Training Administrator Station (TAS)—supports remote bench control over a closed WiFi network while recording and time-stamping each trainee’s performance every session.

Product Highlights

The Powermetrix 8833 enables hands-on troubleshooting of metering connections by allowing technicians to test meters under customer load (passive) or apply an artificial load (active) using RADIAN test equipment. Trainers can simulate real field conditions by adjusting amplitudes and phase angles to evaluate meter performance across a broad range of conditions, including scenarios beyond a meter’s calibrated range.

Beyond meter testing, the bench supports troubleshooting of instrument transformers and wiring. Technicians can test both CTs and PTs installed on the simulator using a RADIAN analyzer, with accessible configuration for flexible current probes, clamp-on probes, or Amp/Volt Litewire probes—helping trainees learn how instrument transformers behave outside rated accuracy ranges.
