Product Highlights
The 8813 supports hands-on troubleshooting of metering connections by letting technicians test meters under customer load (passive) or apply an artificial load (active) using RADIAN test equipment. Trainers can adjust amplitudes and phase angles to reproduce field conditions and evaluate meter behavior across a wide range of scenarios, including conditions beyond a meter’s calibrated range.
A key advantage of the bench is automated, predefined error scenarios that allow trainees to practice diagnosing more than 28 common field errors without physically changing or modifying wiring. Trainers can also override amplitudes and phase angles to extend troubleshooting exercises or recreate issues previously encountered in the field.

Features
- Simulates 28+ commonly found metering errors in the field
- Remote bench control over a closed Wi-Fi network when paired with TAS
- Trainee performance recorded and time-stamped each session
- Resettable GFI on each energized point (5 mA trip, <200 ms response)
- Lighted “active” beacon and illuminated indication when meters are energized
- Emergency Stop on bench and touchscreen; TAS can remotely E-Stop one or all connected benches
- Includes custom wire color coding and mounting of most utility specific meter cans
- Reproduce line-side voltage, backfeed, and load-side fault errors found in the field
