Product Highlights
The Smart Socket takes its form selection from the RW-30X or RW-31X, and that selection controls the voltage routing to the meter socket locations. A front-panel LCD shows the selected form, so the technician can confirm the setup at a glance before the test starts.
The 3230 accepts 10 mA to 30 A per phase from the analyzer and delivers 10 mA to 50 A per phase to the meter, at test voltages from 30 to 600 V per phase. Lock-down optics and push-button optic selection keep setups repeatable in the shop or on the road, and an RS-232 port supports an optional barcode scanner.

Features
- Smart Socket: form selection on the RW-30X or RW-31X routes voltage to the meter socket automatically, and the LCD shows the selected form.
- Current boost to 50 A per phase from the analyzer's 30 A, for testing class 320 meters.
- Laser optics for mechanical meters: a through-hole laser for disks with one or two holes, and a laser source for the black mark on the disk edge.
- Three IR sensor positions (top, front and sides, and bottom of the meter) that work in all lighting conditions, from indoors to direct sunlight.
- Lock-down optics, push-button optic selection, and a 10-segment bar graph for aligning the sensor on mechanical meters.
- Shop stand or van mounting, with the analyzer removable for on-site testing.

Shop and Van Meter Testing
- Connect the analyzer to the 3230 with the 30-inch RW-3X cable set.
- Select the meter form on the RW-30X or RW-31X. The 3230 routes the voltage, and the LCD shows the form.
- Seat the meter and set the optics: laser for mechanical meters, aligned with the bar graph, or one of the three IR sensor positions. Lock the optic in place.
- Run the test from the analyzer, at up to 50 A per phase. When a site visit comes up, lift the analyzer out and take it with you.
RW-30X Alone or With the WECO 3230
The RADIAN RW-30X or RW-31X is a complete portable meter site analyzer on its own. Paired with the WECO 3230, the same analyzer becomes a shop or van test station with automatic voltage routing, higher test current, and fixed optics, without buying a second test system.

WECO 3230 FAQ
Which analyzers work with the WECO 3230
The 3230 works with the RADIAN RW-30X and RW-31X through a 30-inch cable set. A retrofit cable set is also available for WE-20 and WE-30 analyzers.
How does the 3230 test class 320 meters
Compensated current boost transformers raise the analyzer's maximum of 30 A per phase to 50 A per phase at the meter, the current needed to test class 320 meters.
Which meters can the optics read
For mechanical meters, a through-hole laser reads disks with one or two holes, and a second laser source reads the black mark on the disk edge. Three IR sensor positions, at the top, front and sides, and bottom of the meter, work in all lighting conditions, from indoors to direct sunlight.
Can the 3230 be mounted in a van
Yes. The 3230 works as a shop stand or a van-mounted test station. Lock-down optics stay in position on the road, and the analyzer lifts out when you need it at a meter site.
What power, space, and warranty does the 3230 need
The 3230 runs on 90–135 VAC or 180–270 VAC (specify when ordering; 90–135 VAC is standard), with a maximum input of 240 VA. It measures 16.5 in wide by 15 in high by 12.5 in deep, weighs 55 lb, and carries a two-year limited warranty on parts and labor.
