Beyond standard KYZ pulse generation, the MPG-3SC adds End-of-Interval capability — a dedicated Form A output that signals the close of a metering interval, with programmable interval lengths (1–60 minutes) and pulse widths. This makes the MPG-3SC well suited for demand metering applications that require precise interval boundary signaling alongside energy pulse outputs.
The NEMA 4X fiberglass enclosure makes the MPG-3SC suitable for direct outdoor installation, while LED indicators for both pulse outputs and communications status enable quick visual confirmation without additional test equipment. Both unidirectional and bi-directional energy flow configurations are supported.

The MPG-3SC equips utilities to implement the new advanced AMI meters and provide pulses to customers that may need them
- Zigbee® HAN Network Input — wirelessly receives AMI meter data without a hardwired KYZ output at the meter.
- Two KYZ Pulse Outputs — dual Form A (2-Wire) or Form C (3-Wire) solid-state outputs, each independently configurable.
- End-of-Interval (EOI) Output — dedicated Form A output with programmable interval lengths (1, 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes).
- NEMA 4X Fiberglass Enclosure — raintight and dustproof housing rated for harsh outdoor environments.
- USB Programmability — pulse value, multiplier, output mode, and timing fully configurable via SSI Universal Programmer.
- Bi-Directional Energy Support — Normal mode for delivered energy or Signed mode for delivered and received quantities.
- LED Status Indicators — red, yellow, and green LEDs provide instant visual communications status check.
