The RTR-22+ supports two output operating modes. In Normal mode, each channel’s output mirrors the input pulse timing as closely as possible. In Fixed mode, each channel independently generates a selectable output closure time of 50, 100, 200, or 500mS regardless of input pulse width — enabling pulse stretching or shortening to match downstream equipment requirements.
If input pulses exceed the output rate, the microcontroller queues up to 255 pulses per channel and delivers them in a 50/50 duty cycle, with a red overflow LED indicating if the buffer is exceeded.
Euro-type terminal connectors prevent exposed conductors, and the relay mounts in any position inside a suitable electrical enclosure.
Features
The SSI RTR-22+ is a dual-channel high-speed relay for water and gas meters with two independent Form A input/output channels, selectable filter times, and fixed or normal output modes.
- Two independent high-speed channels — each channel has its own Form A input and isolated Form A output, operating independently.
- 4 selectable input filter times — 50µs, 0.5mS, 5mS, or 20mS per channel; rejects noise while accepting valid pulses.
- Normal and Fixed output modes — Normal mirrors input timing; Fixed generates 50, 100, 200, or 500mS output closures per channel.
- 255-pulse output buffer per channel — stores excess pulses during high-rate bursts; delivers in 50/50 duty cycle to prevent pulse loss.
- Compatible with all common pulse initiator types — open-collector transistor, open-drain FET, MOSFET relay, reed switch, and dry-contact relay inputs all supported.
- Red overflow LED — lights when the 255-pulse buffer is exceeded, providing immediate visual indication of an overflow condition.
- Euro-type terminal connectors — no exposed conductors when wired; mounts in any position inside a suitable enclosure.
