Product Highlights
The DPR-2’s Pulse Conversion mode goes beyond simple division — it accepts the actual unit value of each input pulse, accumulates the total energy or volume consumed, and generates output pulses when the programmed output value threshold is reached. This enables extremely precise cross-unit conversions that a simple divider relay cannot achieve, making it well suited for billing interface, SCADA, and energy management applications.
Output pulse length is programmable from 5mS to 1000mS, and a configurable minimum-off time prevents outputs from overwhelming downstream equipment. If output pulses accumulate faster than they can be transmitted, the microcontroller queues up to 65,383 pending output pulses in EEPROM — ensuring zero pulse loss even under high-rate conditions or power interruptions.
Features
- Floating-point ratio scaling — programmable input-to-output ratio from .00001 to 100,000 for precise pulse value conversion.
- Dual operating modes — Pulse Divider mode for raw count division; Pulse Conversion mode for unit-based scaling in kWh, gallons, or CCF.
- Two isolated Form A outputs — dual dry KY contacts rated at 250VAC/VDC, 100mA, with 3500Vrms input/output isolation.
- Non-volatile EEPROM memory — stores pulse counts and pending output queue through power failures; up to 65,383 pulses queued.
- Programmable output timing — output pulse width settable from 5mS to 1000mS with configurable minimum-off time.
- USB programmability — configured via SSI Universal Programmer software or standard terminal programs (TeraTerm, PuTTY, HyperTerminal).
- Red and green LED indicators — display input and output status at all times for rapid visual system verification.
