Product Highlights
The CID-1’s coordinated fusing scheme places the K fuse and either the Y or Z fuse in series at all times, protecting both the meter and the customer’s energy control system from overcurrent, incorrect wiring, and fault conditions. This configuration also supports master/slave fusing arrangements. A built-in snubber network suppresses excessive transient voltages without requiring external suppressors.
With a maximum voltage rating of 250VAC/VDC and an input/output resistance of just 50 milliohms, the CID-1 introduces negligible resistance into the metering circuit while providing meaningful protection at a minimal cost.
Features
- Single-channel KYZ termination — provides two sets of K, Y, Z connector terminals for meter input and customer equipment output.
- Coordinated series fusing — K fuse in series with Y or Z fuse at all times; protects meter and customer equipment from overcurrent and wiring faults.
- 250VAC/VDC maximum voltage — rated for standard utility metering voltage levels.
- 50 milliohm input/output resistance — negligible circuit resistance preserves pulse signal integrity.
- Built-in snubber network — suppresses transient voltages without requiring external surge devices.
- Watertight Noryl enclosure — beaded-gasket lid keeps circuitry clean and dry; excellent electrical insulation.
- Four ½" conduit knockouts — supports flexible mounting and connection to meter enclosures in a wide range of configurations.
