Product Highlights
The CID-2’s per-lead coordinated fusing protects both meters and the customer’s equipment on each of the two channels independently. The K fuse and either the Y or Z fuse are in series at all times per channel, providing master/slave fusing capability and ensuring that a wiring fault or overcurrent event on one channel does not affect the other.
With its 250VAC/VDC maximum voltage rating and 50 milliohm input/output resistance, the CID-2 handles standard utility metering signals with negligible circuit impact — delivering two channels of clean, protected KYZ connectivity in the same compact 4.5″ x 4.5″ x 2.25″ footprint as the CID-1.
Features
- Two independent KYZ channels — provides two sets of K, Y, Z terminals for two meter inputs and two customer equipment outputs.
- Per-channel coordinated series fusing — K fuse in series with Y or Z fuse per channel; protects each meter and output independently.
- 250VAC/VDC maximum voltage — rated for standard utility metering voltage levels across both channels.
- 50 milliohm input/output resistance — negligible circuit resistance preserves pulse signal integrity on both channels.
- Built-in snubber network — suppresses transient voltages across both channels without external surge devices.
- Watertight Noryl enclosure — beaded-gasket lid; same compact 4.5" x 4.5" x 2.25" footprint as the CID-1.
- Four ½" conduit knockouts — supports flexible mounting and connection schemes to meter enclosures.
