The SSI SPS-7-5 Solar Power Supply is the 5VDC output variant of our SPS-7 — the highest-capacity solar power system in the SSI lineup. It provides a regulated 5VDC supply for remote metering and telemetry installations requiring this specific voltage where AC line power is unavailable or a renewable source is preferred. Like all SPS-7 variants, it includes two 45W solar panels, mounting bracket, charge controller, interface circuitry, a 75Ah battery, and a pre-wired 24″ x 16″ x 8″ NEMA 4X ABS enclosure.

A full battery charge provides approximately two weeks of holdover at a 20mA load with no additional sunlight, and recharge time is approximately 6 hours under good solar conditions. The SPS-7-5 is the largest and highest-capacity 5VDC solar supply option in the SSI product line.

The SPS-7-5 is purpose-built for high-demand or lower-sunlight installations where a 5VDC device requires maximum energy reserve. Its dual 45W panels and 75Ah battery provide significantly more capacity than the SPS-6-5, making it the preferred choice when extended cloudy periods or higher current draws are expected.

All components except the solar panels mount inside the large 24″ x 16″ x 8″ enclosure, providing ample protected space for the battery and interface circuitry in a fully weatherproof environment.
