The SSI SPS-7 Solar Power Supply is our highest-capacity turn-key solar power system, designed for remote metering and telemetry installations with demanding power requirements where 120VAC line power is unavailable or a renewable source is preferred. It includes everything needed for a complete implementation — two 45W solar panels, mounting bracket, charge controller, interface circuitry, a 75Ah battery, a 24″ x 16″ x 8″ NEMA 4X ABS enclosure, and all internal chassis and mounting hardware — pre-wired and ready to deploy.

A full battery charge provides approximately two weeks of holdover at a 20mA load with no additional sunlight. Installation is straightforward: mount the enclosure and solar panels on the supplied bracket and connect the solar panel and load leads to the interface circuit board. Optional 5VDC (SPS-7-5) and 15VDC (SPS-7-15) output variants are available for non-standard voltage requirements.

Product Highlights

The SPS-7’s dual 45W panels deliver the highest charging capacity in the SSI solar supply lineup, making it the right choice for higher-power loads, installations with limited sunlight exposure, or applications where a large energy reserve is essential for reliable long-term operation. The 75Ah battery — the largest in the SPS series — provides significantly more holdover capacity than the SPS-6 or SPS-2, and its 500mA maximum charge current keeps the battery consistently topped up under normal solar conditions.

All components except the solar panels mount inside the 24″ x 16″ x 8″ enclosure, the largest in the SPS family, providing ample space for the battery and electronics in a fully protected, weather-sealed environment.
