Customer Interface Relay

CIR-24PS

The SSI CIR-24PS Customer Interface Relay provides four isolated solid-state KYZ outputs from two independent Form A or C meter inputs. Each of the four outputs is independently assignable to either input channel via an A/B selector switch, and can be configured for Long or Short pulse output mode. This makes the CIR-24PS ideal for installations where a single relay must simultaneously serve multiple customer devices from two meter input channels.

The CIR-24PS is divided into two internal compartments — a locked utility compartment housing all electronics, fusing, and input terminals, and a customer compartment containing the output terminal strip, fusing, and LED status indicators. Power input is autoranging from 120V to 277VAC. Coordinated fusing is provided in both compartments, with utility-side fuses designed to protect the circuit boards in the event of customer-side overcurrent.

Product Highlights

The flexibility of the CIR-24PS’s output assignment switches enables a wide range of metering distribution configurations — from splitting one input to four customer devices, to combining two meter inputs across four independently routed outputs. Long and Short pulse modes are configured per input channel using jumpers, applying uniformly to all outputs assigned to that channel.

Both customer-side outputs and utility-side outputs are protected by coordinated fusing, with the utility compartment fuses rated higher to protect the relay boards. The solid-state contacts are rated at 250VAC/VDC at 1/2A, and the CIR-24PS must be wired phase-to-neutral — not phase-to-phase.

Features

The SSI CIR-24PS provides four isolated KYZ outputs from two independent meter inputs, with each output assignable to either input channel in a dual-compartment NEMA 4X enclosure.
  • Four isolated KYZ outputs — assignable to either of two input channels via A/B selector switches; configurable as Form A or Form C.
  • Two independent input channels — accepts Form A (2-wire) or Form C (3-wire) inputs, configured via per-channel selector jumpers.
  • Autoranging power input — accepts 120V to 277VAC for broad installation compatibility.
  • Per-channel Long/Short pulse mode — output pulse width (matching input or fixed ~100mS) configured per input channel and applied to all assigned outputs.
  • Dual-compartment NEMA 4X enclosure — locked utility compartment and accessible customer compartment in one weatherproof package.
  • Coordinated multi-level fusing — utility-side fuses protect circuit boards; customer-side fuses protect outputs; all factory-set and coordinated.
  • Solid-state dry contacts — rated at 250VAC/VDC at 1/2A; arc suppression provided internally.
