Overview
Bantam is designed with portability and safety in mind. Packaged in high technology composite PVC/Acrylic alloy to help reduce weight yet maximize structural integrity. Should misconnection occur Bantams’ quick wiring safety check determines and prevents operation if voltage is detected on the current inputs. Furthermore, the 600V rated ON/OFF switch isolates the load from the meter service voltage to prevent flashover from occurring while connection to the test meter takes place.
The Radian RB-10 Bantam Lite is very versatile yet simple to operate. All test functions, including series and element tests, are controlled from front panel switches without the need for re-wiring. FL and LL test currents are logically placed on the current selection switch and the output current can be linearly adjusted from no load up to full range. Both unity (1.0) and 50% (0.5) lagging power factors can be tested. The hand held controller automates testing with the ability to automatically calculate, display, and store test results. The data can then be easily uploaded to a PC or printed on the RM-RPP portable printer.
Building on proven design with a long service record, this test solution is reliable and rugged. And the Bantam is built using patented circuitry with safety being a priority. The closed front design and remote handheld data collection exceeds the minimum safety requirements when in operation. Although the test kit is the first in a family of products, it is designed with the future in mind. The unit is future proof, upgradable to new innovations as they occur within the product family.
The accuracy of Bantam Lite is maintained using a choice of an embedded Radian RD-20 or RD-21 Reference Standard. Select the Standard that meets your budget and provides the accuracy necessary to adequately test the Energy meter workload.
For added confidence, and before transporting Bantam Lite on-site, the test kit can be easily hooked up to an external cross check Radian Reference standard. Using the supplied handheld comparator you can quickly and automatically determine if Bantam Lite is functioning correctly. This convenient cross check process is simple to operate and takes less than 5 minutes to run.
The Bantam Lite comparator/controller automates meter test calculations to help improve test efficiency, maintain measurement repeatability and record and store test data.
Bantam allows the user to maintain a released version of test procedures for any specific meter manufacturer, Model or Meter Form. Using the supplied RB-10-Link software installed on a remote PC, not only can you back-up the stored test data, but also develop or edit meter test procedures and later transfer to one or more Bantam Lite.
Centralize test procedures as well as measurement records are easy to manage with the Bantam solution. With the supplied software an appointed authority within your organization is given responsibility for creating/editing and distributing meter test procedures to test systems in the field. Furthermore, meter test records can be transferred to the software for later integration to a centralized database of your choosing.

Test Cables
Radian manufactures and offers a variety of test cables that are terminated using:
• Insulators & Copper Alligator Clips
• Ekstrom or Cam-Loc Connectors
• States or Multi-Amp Connectors
All test cables are manufactured from super flexible silicone rubber insulated wire that remains flexible over a temperature range of -67ºC to +150ºC and are loomed with a tight weave loom for extra protection and convenience. All cables are approximately 6 feet long. (Optional 12ft cable available at a reduced current rating)

Accessories
Sensors, Hand switches and Printers Radian offers a large selection of sensors for all meter testing application. These sensors include IR, Reflective, Visible Light and KYZ and hand switch. Several options are also available for mounting the sensors to the meter under test.
